The UV's I decided to set up were for my previous free sculpt of an orc and his helmet. I managed to project the details of my 4.5M point helm to just 14k, by unwrapping my UV's and setting up a texture map, displacement map, and normal map. The same process was used for my orc head which went from 5M active points to just 20k. I am incredibly motivated by this challenge and its results as I now see the prospect of making game assets as a potential reality. The first set of screenshots show the optimized helmet on its own, while the next showcases the helm and its optimized wearer. Thank you Pablo for all the awesome workflow tips!
