// Basic Manipulation Challenge //

Prior to these first couple lessons, ZBrush was one of the most intimidating pieces of software I have ever seen. Coming from blender, the UI and navigation immediately caught me off guard, but with Pablo's help I was able to conquer my fears and start to see the true value ZBrush offers. I practiced the navigation like it was a new game, which proved incredibly beneficial in this homework assignment. For my objects, I wanted to choose structures that have a high ceiling in terms of how intricate, or simple, they could be. That led me to pick a chair and table to model. I am incredibly pleased with how the set turned out - each asset resembles the reference photo nearly identically. Including the slight bends to the beams supporting the table, though difficult to see with the screenshot's resolution. I learned a lesson with this assignment: always save references. It seems obvious but I completely forgot to do so, and I had to scavenge the web to try to find them again. I was successful in finding the table but I couldn't find the exact chair I used, so the one shown below is the best replacement I could find. Very much looking forward to exploring ZBrush further, it feels like the possibilities to create are endless!
