Lesson Overview
Hard Surface
Lesson 2 of 4 Substance Designer Essentials
Now that you've learned how to create organic shapes, you will apply those same principles to design hard surface metal paneling. You'll also create singular one-off pieces which can be added to your main graph. Then, you will expose the graph's parameters so you can easily customize various settings going forward.
Extra Credit
Create a secondary metal panel, ceiling or floor material.
Hard Surface Shapes
Create a metal panel, ceiling or floor material with chipped paint or other damage. Then, expose the material parameters so you can vary their intensity. Add complexity to your material by adding bolts, vents and other items using separate graphs.
