  • Basic Keyframe Paintover Homework

Begin creating your paintover by doing the initial steps required. Set up your render passes, get everything organized, and then begin adding in haze, photobash elements, and whatever else you might need to get your image to a good place. Once you have the initial keyframe, do a check-in paintover to decide where to go from here.

  • Final First Keyframe Homework

Use all the techniques you’ve learned in this course to finish your first keyframe. Take your time, and do as many check-ins as you need to get a fresh take on your artwork. At the end of this homework, you should have a portfolio-ready keyframe!

  • Further Keyframes Homework

Now it’s time to create as many extra keyframes as you’ve planned for your starship. Keep all the principles Gabriel has mentioned in mind, and take your time to make the best images you can. At the end, make sure to match the look and feel of each frame so they all feel cohesive.

For extra credit, try building a new background element for one of your keyframes by re-using pieces of what you’ve already made.
