In this lesson you will learn to depict a planet mid-destruction, combining all the techniques used in the previous lessons and putting your skills to the test.
Destroyed Planet Creation Homework
Try out all 3 destruction techniques Gabriel demonstrated in the lesson, and begin building your destroyed planet using whichever ones you find necessary. Don’t worry about materials or intricate details at this stage, you should focus on large shapes and basic scattering.
Destroyed Planet Materials Homework
Create exterior and interior materials for your planet, add smaller rocks and debris, then set up your lighting and cameras. Finally, render out any render passes you will need for the paintover stage.
Destroyed Planet Paintover Homework
Bring in your render passes, then add in any atmosphere, dust, stars, or other effects that may be needed to bring your destroyed planet paintover to a finished state. Take your time and have fun with this final homework!
