Knowing how to design is most difficult part that is main ingredient of  great concept artworks. Maciej will discuss basic rules of design and how to apply them to create compelling design language to build your worlds.

  • Advanced

    Create environment painting with architectural element(s) and give it your own subject. Blend photobashing and photo textures with painting techniques to create seamless results. Apply design principles and shapes language learnt in this lesson to help convey the subject. Finally write 1 word description of what this painting is about.

  • Beginner

    Option 1 - Pick architectural photography (element or whole building) and change ‘camera view’ of that photography. Use perspective lines and painting skills learnt in previous lesson to finish the view (in most seamless way)
     
    Option 2 - Create environment painting with architectural element to convey aspect of Journey. Apply design principles and shapes language learnt in this lesson to help convey the subject. You can use any techniques learnt in previous lessons but it needs to have at least 1 photo texture seemlesly applied to overal painting (i.e., sky texture, texture of the walls, rocks etc.). Finally write 1 sentence description of what this painting is about.
