// Hard Surface Sculpt Challenge //

For my hard surface sculpt I chose to create a sci-fi/cyberpunk motorcycle. This object ended up being far more of a complex challenge than I initially expected - I had to constantly think of how the form follows the function, which is difficult without in-depth mechanical knowledge. I had to think of the aerodynamics, the fuel cap, the turning radius, suspension, exhaust, HUD, etc. I loved this process, as each functional piece added an extra sense of realism because it makes sense that it would be there. I imagine the wheels are held up and sped up/slowed down by magnets. I used almost every technique learned in this course so far, whether it being detail distribution, cutting, masking, Booleans, reference gathering, extracting, etc. I even used primitive projecting to implant a spherical fuel canister on the main body of the bike to give it that extra curve seen in most motorcycles. Although there are many more details I can add, like extra layers to the brake calipers, extra levers/buttons on the handles, further enhanced suspension, ribbing on the seat, etc., I am incredibly pleased with asset's the current state and can always add more features in the future.
