Thumbnail sketches

I’m going with a futuristic pilot as well to help follow along with your lessons. Illustrating, isn’t my forte, I’m more of a 3-D modular who’s more used to modeling armor, so I’m trying to focus on designs that are more in line with fabric to give me a little bit of a challenge and practice. I have a question was wondering if you could chime in, when you’re given an assignment, how long would you say you take to find reference pictures? I spent a good part of a day searching for references and sifting through things.
